The CPET-2022 will be held between August 1 and August 13. Common application form (CAF) will be available online from June 27 to July 12 on the website
www.samsodisha.gov.in. Students can download hall tickets from the website on July 20 (2 pm) before appearing for the CPET.

“Candidates, whose final undergraduate (UG) results are awaited (not published) can also apply online to appear for the test. But they must upload their marks prior to preparation of ‘subject-wise and state-wide provisional rank’ within the dateline, failing which, their application will not be considered,” said Rajesh Kumar Sahoo, deputy director of higher education department.
The universities conducting CPET will handover the entrance marks to Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) here by August 22. Applicants can upload graduation/equivalent marks by August 20 (5 pm). Subject-wise and state-wide merit list will be published on August 25 (2 pm). Choice filling by eligible applicants will start from August 25 and continue till August 30.
Provisional allotment of seats for first round selection will be published on September 5 (4 pm). The selected students in the first round will report the allotted institutions for taking admission by September 7 (5 pm). Similarly, provisional allotment of seats for second round selection will be published on September 13 (12 noon). Second round admission for eligible students will be conducted from September 14 to September 15 (5 pm).
If any seats remain vacant after the first and second round of PG admission, spot selection will be conducted for this. Provisional list of vacant seats will be published on SAMS website on September 20. Spot Merit List will be published on September 23. Candidates will go for reporting at the institutions for spot selection from September 24 and September 26 (5 pm).
Final selected spot merit list will be published for admission at 12 noon on September 28. Admission and data updation of the candidates from the spot merit list will be held on September 29 and September 30.
From this year, the department will not collect admission fees from the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students during the centralised admission process. The students will directly pay their admission fees to colleges where they will finally take admission.
“After completion of e-admission process for the session 2022-23, dates will be notified by the department later for collection of admission fees at the respective colleges and universities,” said Sahoo.
The department has started conducting this test since 2020. After appearing in this one test, students will get a seat in any of the state universities according to his/her eligibility and entrance performance.
